Climate Project Expansion

West Virginia Center On Climate Change – extra text

Following the success of the December Climate Change Issues Conference in Morgantown, we are now looking forward to expanding our climate change work. While our previous work focused on the impacts of climate change on the Allegheny Highlands, we are now thinking statewide, with a new office in Morgantown. Logan Thorne, who was instrumental in putting together the climate conference, will continue to work with us as the main staffer for the new Morgantown location. We are planning new presentations, an update of our climate change report, educational videos and much more. The eventual goal is to create an expanded and rebranded climate program that can function independently of Friends of Blackwater, although that may not happen for some time yet. For now, Friends of Blackwater board member Tom Rodd is still the coordinator for the climate program.
