Judy RoddExecutive Director
Judy Rodd is our executive director, and has run Friends of Blackwater since 2000. She has an M.S. in Recreation and Parks from West Virginia University, and has been working as an environmental educator and advocate since 1985. As well as being the director, Judy handles much of the grants and fundraising.
Emmie CornellWatershed Projects Manager
Emmie Cornell is Friends of Blackwater Watershed Projects Manager. She has a B.S. in biology from Berry College. She has a background in environmental education, sustainability and watershed mitigation.
Ash CutrightClimate Consultant (part-time)
As we grow our climate programs, Ash will be heading up the Morgantown office, organizing public events, and giving a statewide perspective on climate issues.
Alicia ErjavecHeritage AmeriCorpe Vista
Alicia has a B.A. from Fairmont State University and a passion for preserving Appalachian history! She supports our heritage restoration and education programs
Sarah CartronWatershed and Outreach Assistant
Sarah studied Contemporary Photography at Shepherd University and has a graduate degree in photojournalism from Corcoran College of Art + Design. She helps with watershed projects, trail work, and creating outreach material.
John BrownTechnical Consultant (part-time)
John Brown is Friends of Blackwater’s technical consultant. He has run his own computer business and has worked with non-profits across West Virginia. When not helping Friends of Blackwater, he teaches middle school science.
